So as your toddler’s birthday approaches, you’re trying to figure out the best way to celebrate this exciting day. Their first birthday was more about the adults and the other kids but this year you want your little one to engage and enjoy their own party. You want the other kids to have fun and not have to sit still all day.

If you want that, and so much more, consider bringing The Wiggles to your next party!

Toddler Birthday Party Ideas – Who (or What) Are The Wiggles?

For those of you without a toddler in your lives, The Wiggles are a children’s music group geared to the toddler and pre-school set. This Australian group have been together for over 20 years and rivals, if not surpasses, the popularity of Barney and Dora. With a resume that includes television (broadcast in over 100 countries), music and a touring live band, there isn’t a toddler around who doesn’t know Yellow, Red, Purple and Blue (as The Wiggles are known).

Toddler Birthday Party Ideas – Make it a Wiggly Party!

So once you’ve decided on The Wiggles as your theme embrace it! You’re not alone and there is lots of help out there for you. Your local party supply store will have some Wiggles supplies available and you can visit their web site for more. But it’s also a fairly easy theme to create yourself.

Use the four colors, yellow, red, purple and blue and have fun! Use streamers, balloons, construction paper and decorate. You can mix and match paper plates, cutlery and cups using those colors all while staying in budget.

Be sure to include The Wiggles friends, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus and Wags the Dog. You can print off posters, draw them if you’re a little more adventurous, or rent the costumes and recruit someone willing to dress up as the characters. That would send your little Wigglers into Wiggles heaven!

Toddler Birthday Party Ideas – Have a Wiggling Good Time!

It will be easy to include your theme in your menu. The Wiggles love to eat and lots of their songs are about food. Be sure to include Fruit Salad, Goldfish (crackers), Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes and Cold Spaghetti (pasta salad).

In addition to having your little one’s favorite Wiggles DVD playing, there are lots of games and activities you can include. Of course a game of Hot Potato (one of their big hits) is a must. Musical chairs (played to The Wiggles of course), Pin-the-Tail on Wags the Dog and a Wiggles Dance Contest are musts for any Wiggly Birthday Party.

There are a lot of great ways to incorporate The Wiggles into your toddler’s next birthday party. Just mix some colors (yellow, red, purple and blue), add some music and fun and Wiggle your way to a super fun day!
