This Time It’s NOT All About Planning! (Fun Video)

There I said it! And I know what you’re thinking; SHOCKING considering it’s coming from me. Usually I’m the one spouting all about event and meeting planners and the unbelievable amount of planning and hard work that is involved in their jobs. Really the ultimate goal for any planner is to create and execute all type of functions including events, parties, meetings and conferences. And as we all know the expectation from our clients and bosses, of course is perfection. And as anyone who has ever had the responsibility to plan anything knows it takes a great deal of abilities and a special set of skills to achieve that ultimate goal; success. It definitely takes a particular kind of individual to become an event and meeting planner. The majority of the outstanding event and meeting planners I know come to the table with an array of unbeatable expertise, skill and talent that help them to get the job done.

This Time It’s NOT All About Planning – REALLY?

This is a group of industry professionals who are hardworking and quick on their feet, problem solvers and good communicators, are able to negotiate and make decisions, super organized and have an unreal attention to detail. And as if that isn’t enough they do their job with a smile on their face (most times) while maintaining a great attitude, passion, flexibility, people skills while always on the go. It’s exhausting just thinking about it.

This Time It’s NOT All About Planning – YES!

Having said all that, ATTENTION all meeting and event planners now is the time to take a break. Take a moment; put your feet up (yeah right), get ready to smile and possibly have a chuckle or two. A client sent this to me with the same message so I wanted to share. So thanks to our friends at www.ign.com enjoy this “fake trailer” while you ponder the question “What if Pixar made The Expendables 2”?
