When it comes to how to promote an event we could all learn a thing or two from the Olympics.
Over the years, the Olympics really has turned in to one of the most well-built, all-encompassing and lucrative events. Not only does it showcase great sports, superior competition and quality team work, it provides unbelievable entertainment and it has definitely become big business. And with the business of any big event, promotion is not only a major and vital part of the experience, but an essential one.

Event promotion is an excellent way to generate interest and excitement about, in this case, the Olympics as well as brand awareness about a specific company or product. From start to finish, from idea to plan outline through to execution, no stone is left unturned in the effort to touch and influence folks around the world. By implementing an innovative, revolutionary and leading edge promotional strategy, the majority of organizations are looking to increase sales as well as connect with a huge audience. While at times the event promotion results are not the most encouraging or inspiring, however sometimes we get just what we are working for. And in a word those results equal success, and in the most positive way, resulting in increased performance, sales and interest.
Prior to and during the Olympics, there have been so many different successful promotions. And a couple here and there, that haven’t fared quite as well. One of the great promotional successes has been the Coca Cola commercial “Move to the beat of London 2012”.
