There is nothing better than birthday party planning, specifically a kid’s birthday party. As I have said many a time, birthdays are special and should be treated that way. As the saying goes half the fun is in the journey so in this case the party planning. Especially with all the fun and exciting birthday party decisions that await; who to invite, where to hold it, what party theme to go with, what to serve, what activities to have, the delicious cake, don’t forget about the amazingly cool goody bags and so much more. Really all the planning, organizing, scheming and preparing leading up to the actual party becomes part of the festivities and is definitely equally as fun. And without the right planning, any party no matter the type can take the best of intentions and right before your eyes those intentions become a complete mess.
When party planning keep in mind the actual party does not need to be extravagant. We’ve all seen those out the park; include every single thing possible, over budget soirees. But truly a successful and enjoyable birthday party is never about how much money you spend or how many bells and whistles are included. It really is all about celebrating that special person and their special day. So like when planning any celebration it makes sense to talk with the person celebrating and find out what they would like on their day. How do they want to celebrate, what theme would be fitting for the birthday person and how they see the experience happening. And then start planning … the sooner you get working on the plans the better off you will be. With no last minute details to deal with and iron out. All that will remain is enjoying that perfectly lovely day.
There really is lots and lots of great help available. Your birthday party planning doesn’t have to be scary or stressful. Be organized, use a checklist, plan ahead, ask for help and you will be on the path to having a great party and a very happy birthday for that special kid in your life. There are always lessons to learn from others, so enjoy this video from our friends at YouTube and be prepared to have a chuckle.
